For electricians
Electricians: are customers finding you when they ask AI?
Electrical work is a licence-and-trust purchase. People check who comes up, then check what others said about them.
Get your free checkThe questions your customers are asking
“Who is a licensed electrician near me?”
“How much to upgrade a switchboard?”
“Can an electrician install an EV charger at home?”
Jobs we write your pages around: switchboard upgrades, power points, safety switches, LED lighting, ceiling fans and EV charger installs.
Examples of what people ask, not results for your business.
The word customers search for is "licensed"
Electrical wiring work requires a NSW licence at any value, and unlike most trades the word "licensed" is part of how customers phrase the search. They type it, and they say it to an assistant. Pages that state a licence number plainly match the question being asked; pages that say "fully qualified professionals" answer a question nobody asked. The register also discloses conditions, penalty notices and prosecutions, so a clean record is a public asset worth pointing at rather than leaving a customer to find on their own.

We link the issuing body, not a directory, so you can verify this yourself rather than take our word for it. This is general information about licensing as it stood on the checked date, not legal advice, and the issuing body is the authority on your obligations.
A new question arrived and most sparkies are not answering it
Home EV charger installation is a genuinely new search category and it behaves unlike the rest of electrical work. The customer has just committed to a car, has a deadline, does not know what a load assessment is, and is asking an assistant rather than a mate because no mate has done it either. Switchboard capacity, single versus three phase, whether the meter box has room, whether strata must approve. Every one has a real answer, and the electricians publishing those answers are the ones getting named. Most still run a page that says "no job too small".
What AI assistants currently get wrong about electricians
Assistants are cautious about electrical work and often refuse to name anyone, defaulting to "use a licensed electrician and check their licence". That caution is the opening. A stated licence number, a stated service area and pages that answer the technical question properly give the assistant something safe to name, which is the only way past the hedge.
What reviews actually measure in this trade
Electrical reviews rarely discuss the work, because the customer cannot assess it. They discuss punctuality, explanation and cleanliness. Your reviews are evidence about your conduct, not your wiring, and should be answered on those terms.
